NHS Continuing Healthcare

We have particular knowledge, skills and experience in managing and transforming Continuing Health Care (CHC) budgets and teams. CHC is NHS continuing healthcare, also known as NHS continuing care or ‘fully funded NHS care’, free care outside of hospital that is arranged and funded by the NHS where the patient’s primary need is for health care. This is often a contentious as well as costly function within the health sector and one that needs careful management.

We have experience in service review, system design and staff and budget control through interim management. The latter can include transactional as well as transformational interventions depending on clients’ requirements.

Without compromising eligibility criteria we estimate that we have recently saved three CCGs in the region of £7m recurring annual savings from their hard-pressed budgets. We feel confident that we can almost guarantee savings using our unique approach wrought from hard-won experience. We focus on focusing staff on what really matters; restructuring the workforce where necessary; redesigning processes; and making best use of IT.
